Troops of 521 Infantry Brigade conducted a dry ration pack distribution programme among 50 selected underprivileged families residing in Urikkadu area to mark its 26th Anniversary on 20 August 2021.
A dry rations pack worth of Rs.3000.00 that included rice, dhal, sugar, milk powder, salt, tea leaves, onions etc, was sponsored by the Troops of 521 Infantry Brigade and 11th Battalion Vijabahu Infantry Regiment.
These ration packs were delivered to the beneficiaries doorsteps as they were unable to move from their houses due to the curfew imposed to prevent the spread of COVID -19 outbreak.
Commander 521 Infantry Brigadier MM Salwatura RWP RSP USP alms with his staff and Commanding Officer and troops of 11 Vijabahu Infantry Regiment took part in this event adhering to the health formalities.
