The under command troops of 52 Infantry Division, including 521 Infantry Brigade, 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment offered tea buns, bananas and served milk tea for devotees, who attended for Maha Shivarathri celebrations at Shivam Kovil from 08th to 09th March 2024. More than 5000 devotees recieved the treats and sole financial contribution for the goodwill gesture was provided by General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division, Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc.
Kovil committee members of Shivam Kovil and civilians extended their gratitude to the troops for enormous support extended to them and for showcasing goodwill gesture for the success of this ceremony.
