52 Infantry Division troops under the supervision of Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna) conducted multiple disaster-response and public-health operations across the area of responsibility on 12 December 2025.
In response to adverse weather, the 11 Vijayaba Infantry Regiment provided drinking water assistance to residents of the Thondaimanaru (South) Grama Niladhari (GN) Division.
Due to the adverse weather conditions, many wells are filled with wastewater and blocked. Troops from the 1st Mechanized Infantry Regiment cleared the wastewater from the waterlogged wells.
As community assistance operations continued into their ninth consecutive day, troops of the 52 Infantry Division once again demonstrated commitment and resilience in supporting the people of the Jaffna Peninsula. The Division remains focused on restoring essential services, ensuring public safety and assisting in the wider community recovery effort following recent adverse weather conditions.
