The 52 Infantry Division proudly celebrated its 28th Anniversary on 24th August 2023 marking yet another milestone. Series of programmes were organized with the directions of the General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division, Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc.
In accordance with military traditions, the General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division honoured with a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour presented by troops of 23 Battalion of Gamunu Watch and it was followed by group photograph, planting of a sapling tree and troop address.
General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division recalled the vital occurrences of the history of 52 Infantry Division and commended the commitments and dedication of troops during his address. To coincide with the Anniversary Day, General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division, Deputy General Officer Commanding and all Senior and Junior Officers and Other Ranks in Division Headquarters attended to the All Ranks lunch where it marked the end of Anniversary Day’s proceedings.
Furthermore, on 25th August 2023, a Musical Night was staged in the premises as the last feature of the anniversary events. Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division graced the occasion as the chief guest.
