Founder and Chairman of Thiyahie Charitable Trust and a philanthropist donor, Mr Vamadeva Thiagendran who resides in Jaffna donated 10 million rupees to the “Itukama COVID – 19 Healthcare and Social Security Fund” that has been established by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to strengthen the mitigation activities aimed at controlling the spread of COVID-19 virus in the country and related social welfare programmes.
This noble contribution of Mr.Vamadeva Thiagendran was coordinated by the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu.
A cheque worth of Rs. 10 Million was officially handed over to the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) during a brief ceremony held at the Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna premises on 26 August 2021 and commander expressed his sincere gratitude and highly commended the grand contribution.
Mr.Vamadeva Thiagendran is a well known philanthropist who has helped to the people of Jaffna peninsula in a numerous ways and continues his support to the people of Jaffna through the Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna.
