RANAVIRU APPAREL MADE SPECIAL HAZMAT SUIT AND SHOE COVER FOR MEDICAL STAFF ENGAGE IN TREATING PATIENTS WHO ARE STRUCK DOWN WITH THE LIFE THREATENING INFECTION - COVID 19.
Ranaviru Apparel Garment Factory of Sri Lanka Army which was established as a rehabilitation project in view of adding value and significance to the differently able (Wounded in action) soldiers and enable them to become useful citizens and role models to the society. However, The Ranaviru Apparel Factory adopt latest techniques, strategies and within cost effective, efficient parameters, primarily produce very high quality standard uniform requirements for officers.

In the meantime, considering the outbreak of the Covid 19 in country, the factory steps out to produce disposable microfiber suits with shoe covers which can be used for medical teams while treating/ quarantining inflected corona patients.

These are producing in low cost with using micron 137 (polythene) by sealer machines under a new technology. The Darley and company sponsored sealer machines to the factory. This project is continuing under the instructions and direction of the Commander of the Army and the supervision of the commandant of the Ranaviru Apparel.

Today (23), morning the first lot of production was officially handed over to Dr Anil Jasingha, the Director-General of Health Services, and the Chief Technical Officer of the Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine during a simple ceremony held at Ministry of Health by the Commandant of Ranaviru Apparel.
