Differently able Officers and Other Ranks together with other serving troops of the Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) celebrated the 25th anniversary with series of activities at the camp premises in yakkala under the guidance of Brigadier M G A N B Mahathuwakkara RWP RSP ndc, Commandant – RVAPL, on a grand scale during February 28 and 29.
Meanwhile, on 28 Feb as the 1st phase of the programme, colourful procession was conducted by RVAPL to invite the monks to the all-night Pririth Chanting followed by an alms giving ceremony was organized at the factory premises to bless all members including differently able troops serving the RVAPL and the Army as well as transfer merits to fallen War Heroes.
On the next day 29 Feb as the 2nd phase of the programme, the commandant of RVAPL addressed the troops and extended his best wishes to all members of the Factory on its 25 anniversary and thanked all members and their families for their contribution towards enabling the Ranaviru Apparel to reach the heights it has achieved today. Afterwards, all rank lunch culminated the day's programme.
All officers, Other Ranks and members of the civil staff participated in the anniversary formalities.
