The newly-appointed Commandant of Ranaviru Apparel, Brigadier M G A N B Mahathuwakkara RWP RSP ndc assumed duties as the 7th Commandant on 05th December 2022 at the Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) factory at Yakkala.

He was honored by Ranaviru Apparel Troops on arrival in a colorful Guard Turnout in accordance with the military tradition and he was warmly received by Brigadier Amila Wasage, Deputy Commandant -RVAPL in the company of several other Senior Officers.

The newly appointed Commandant took over duties at the auspicious time amidst religious blessings and the event was organized with a brief formal documentation followed by a short briefing with the participation of key appointment holders of the Ranaviru Apparel.

Meanwhile, the Commandant planted a Mango tree sapling at the camp premises as a symbol of memory followed by a troop address. He affirmed that all possible assistance to upgrade the factory to achieve the target and produce high quality uniform for the SL Army.

He also extended his sincere gratitude to Commander of the Army, Col of the Regiment, all past Chairmen and Director Board as well as all those contributed to develop the factory, present staff including differently able War Heroes for paving way for Factor’s success.
