DCOS MAKES FIRST FORMAL VISIT TO RVAPL
The Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) of Army and the Chairman, Board of Management (BoM) of Ranaviru Apparel Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda made his first formal visit to Ranaviru Apparel Factories at Alawwa and Yakkala to witness production process on 22 November 2021

The day began with the visit to Alawwa Factory. He was warmly received by Brigadier Azad Izadeen, the Commandant – RVAPL together with Brigadier Amila Wasage, Deputy Commandant and Lt Col Nishantha Perera, Factory Manager in the company of several other senior Officers. The Guard Turnout presented a drive-pass on arrival and saluted the visiting DCOS in accordance with military traditions.

He was briefed on product operations at the factory followed by a factory visit before planting a tree sapling at the camp premises as a symbol of memory.

As per the second session of the day’s programme, the DCOS arrived to the factory at Yakkala. On arrival he was warmly welcomed by Brigadier Azad Izadeen, the Commandant together with Brigadier Amila Wasage, Deputy Commandant and Col Titus Jayakody, Factory Manager at the main entrance to the camp at Yakkala.

Meanwhile, the Guard Turnout presented a drive-pass and saluted in accordance with military formalities same as the factory at Alawwa.

The DCOS was briefed about the factory process and Layout followed by factory visit and a planting a Mango tree sapling at the camp premises as a symbol of memory. He affirmed that all possible assistance to upgrade the factories to achieve the target and produce high quality uniform for the SL Army.

He also extended his sincere gratitude to the commandant and all ranks including differently able War Heroes of the RVAPL for paving way for Factor’s success.

Towards the end of the day’s proceedings, the DCOS placed his signature in the Visitors’ book as a memory of his visit to RVAPL.
