IPSOTSL is a prestigious institute of Sri Lanka dedicated to    training of peacekeepers for employment in all types of UNPSO (UN   Peace Support Operations). This institute fulfils the requirement   of UNDPKO as per General Assembly resolution which outlines 'the   necessity and responsibility of every nation to train their armed forces   before any deployment under the flag of United Nations.

 

 
 
UNITED NATIONS MILITARY OBSERVER COURSE NUMBER 02 (GPOI) 2023

United Nations Military Observer Course Number - UNMOC (GPOI) 02- 2023 was commenced on 06 November 2023 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) and concluded on 24 November 2024. This comprehensive training capsule was undertaken in collaboration with the United Nations and Global Peace Operations Initiatives (GPOI) organization. The course consisted with 30 student officers of the Sri Lanka Army, Air Force and the Police.

IPSOTSL INITIATED DISTRIBUTION OF DRY RATIONS PACKS AMONG THE CIVILIANS

Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) organised a timely essential special project to distribute dry ration packs, each valued at Rs. 5000.00 to families in need in the Makeliella and Kosgulana areas on Saturday (November 18) at the IPSOTSL premises.

US DELEGATION VISIT ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2023

A United States delegation visited to Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) on Friday (22) September 2023 with the aim to discuss about the Women in peace and security efforts and how upcoming reforms fit within the Sri Lankan Peacekeepers.

THE INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW AND HUMAN RIGHTS ADVANCE COURSE-NO 26

The International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights advance course conducted at Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) under the direction and guidance of the Directorate of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (Dte of HR & HL) from 14 August 2023 to 12 September 2023 was completed successfully. SRI LANKA PARTICIPATES IN KRISH AMAN - II IN MALAYSIA

Exercise Krish Aman II 2023 is a joint collaboration between Armed Forces of Malaysia (AFM) and the United Nations Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) under the Global Peace Operations Initiative Programme (GPOI) United States, which is scheduled to be conducted from 12 – 26 August 2023 in the Port Dickson area, Negeri Sembilan in Malaysia.

TERMINATION OF THE FORCE PROTECTION COMPANY PRE-DEPLOYMENT TRAINING COURSE LEBANON

Force Protection Company Pre-deployment Training Course Lebanon (UNIFIL) No 15 and Sri Lanka Air Force Aviation Unit Pre-deployment Training Course Central Africa (MINUSCA) No 09stage 02 was commenced on 10 July 2023 and concluded on 10 August 2023.
