IPSOTSL is a prestigious institute of Sri Lanka dedicated to    training of peacekeepers for employment in all types of UNPSO (UN   Peace Support Operations). This institute fulfils the requirement   of UNDPKO as per General Assembly resolution which outlines 'the   necessity and responsibility of every nation to train their armed forces   before any deployment under the flag of United Nations.

 

 
 
IPSOTSL COMPLETES THE LEVEL - II HOSPITAL PRE-DEPLOYMENT TRAINING COURSE

The Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) kukuleganga marked its completion of the Level - II Hospital Pre-deployment Training Course during the certificate awarding ceremony at the IPSOTSL main auditorium on Friday (May 12).

The course was comprised with 17x Officers of Sri Lanka Army, 75x Other Ranks and 01x Officer from the Sri Lanka Air Force. The course was commenced on 24 April and concluded on 12 May 2023. DIRECTOR GENERAL OVERSEAS OPERATIONS VISITS IPSOTSL

Major General P P A Perera Hdmc psc the Director General, Directorate of Overseas Operations made a familiarization visit to IPSOTSL on 24 April 2023 to inquire about the training capsules and the well-being of the troops with the invitation of Brigadier C A Rajapaksha RSP the Commandant IPSOTSL.

UN ASSESSMENT & ADVISORY VISIT TEAM ARRIVES TO IPSOTSL

UNITED NATIONS STAFF OFFICERS COURSE NO 02 (GPOI) 2023

United Nations Staff Officer Course No 02 (GPOI) UNSOC 2023 was conducted on 06 - 22 March 2023 at IPSOTSL with the directions of Brigadier C A Rajapaksha RSP the commandant of Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka. The course consisted with 38 Student Officers of the Sri Lanka Armed Forces and foreign student officers from Indonesia, Mongolia, Nepal and Bangladesh. IPSOTSL has mainly focus on the prime responsibility which a Staff Officer has to perform and formulated the course curriculum according to the guide lines provided by the UNDPO.
