IPSOTSL is a prestigious institute of Sri Lanka dedicated to    training of peacekeepers for employment in all types of UNPSO (UN   Peace Support Operations). This institute fulfils the requirement   of UNDPKO as per General Assembly resolution which outlines 'the   necessity and responsibility of every nation to train their armed forces   before any deployment under the flag of United Nations.

South Sudan Level II Hospital Component Pre-deployment Training Course (UNMISS) No – 9 and Sri Lanka Air Force Contingent Pre-deployment Training Course (MINUSCA) No – 7 was commenced on 22 March 202 and successfully completed on 05 May 2021. South Sudan Level II Hospital Component Pre-deployment Training Course No 09 was consisted with 71 students (12 x Officers and 59 x ORs) and Sri Lanka Air Force Aviation Unit Pre-Deployment Training Course Central Africa No 7 was consisted with 118 students (12 x Officer and 106 x ORs).

3RD CCC BOUND FOR MALI SALUTES ARMY CHIEF

The new contingent of 243 Army personnel of the Combat Convoy Company (CCC) of the Sri Lanka Army, set to leave for Mali to serve in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission (MINUSMA) this morning (8) presented a formal military salute to the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) at Kukuleganga.

INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW AND HUMAN RIGHTS ADVANCE COURSE – NO 23

The International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights advance course conducted at Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) under the direction and guidance of the Directorate of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (Dte of HR & HL) from 15 March 2021 to 05 April 2021 was completed successfully.
