The New Year fair was organized Seva Vanitha branch the Gemunu Watch on 09th April 2023 at Kuruvita Public grounds. This initiative was taken as per the concept of President Mrs. Shalika Edirisinghe and members of the Seva Vanitha branch. In this event battalion were given opportunity for them to sell the agricultural products which they grow in unit lines and also the products related to their areas. Through this event, peoples of the area got the opportunity to buy goods and items in reasonable price.

With the concept of the incumbent President, Mrs.Shalika Edirisinghe and members of the SevaVanitha Branch of the Gemunu watch conducted essential school items donation programme for students who belong to military and civil families. This donation amalgamate with the celebration of 35thRegimental Day event of The Gemunu Watch.

President and Members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Officers and other Rankers of the Gemunu Watch were participated for this event.

Mrs Shalika Edirisinghe, charming spouse of Major General EADP Edirisingha psc, assumed duties as the new President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Gemunu Watch at the Regimental Centre on 04March 2023. The members of the Seva Vanitha Branch extended a warm welcome to the new President at the Regimental Center and extended best wishes for her new appointment.

Maj Gen E A D P Edirisinghe psc assumed duties as the 23rd Colonel of the Regiment of the Gemunu Watch on 04th March 2023 at the Regimental Centre of the Gemunu Watch, Kuruwita.

The farewell ceremony for Major General A C Lamahewa WWV RWP RSP Former Director General Infantry and Colonel of the Regiment the Gemunu Watch was held at the Regiment Centre on 02nd March 2023.The occasion of his retirement after completion over 35 years of successful service in Sri Lanka Army.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch was held on 18th February 2023 at the Regimental Centre the Gemunu Watch Paradise Auditorium hall under the patronage of the president of the Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha branch Mrs RuviniLa mahewa .Further it was attended by the Seva Vanitha vice president Mrs Shalika Edirisinghe and the 48 members of Gemunu Watch Seva Vanitha Branch.

The Gemunu Watch Inter Battalion Volleyball Tournament - 2023 got underway at the Regimental Centre the Gemunu Watch Lt Col W Wimaladasa indoor stadium during 03 - 11February.Under the direction and guidance of the Chairmen of Gemunu Watch Volleyball committee Brig C A Rajapakse RSP and vice chairmen Lt Col P M M T Pathiraja RWP RSP and close supervision of the Sport officer of The Gemunu Watch Maj G K S T Pushpakumara RWP RSP.

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M) Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Pakistan arrived in Sri Lanka for a five day visit. At the cordial invitation extended by the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, the visiting General and the entourage arrived in the island the morning hours on 09th February 2023

A formal ceremony was taken place to mark the assuming of the office of the newly appointed Regimental Adjutant, the Gemunu Watch Major R A D N P K Ranaweera RWP RSP psc on 11th January 2023 as the Regimental Adjutant.

The incoming Adjutant was welcomed by all the Officers and Other Rankers of the Regimental Centre, the Gemunu Watch. The newly posted Adjutant assumed office, took over the duties amid religious observances and expressed his vision. All the Officers and Other Rankers of the Gemunu Watch extended their best wishes to the newly appointed Regimental Adjutant.

The farewell ceremony for Brigadier D P J C Jayawardene USP was held at the Regiment Centre on 10 January 2023.The occasion of his retirement after completing over 31 years of successful service in the Sri Lanka Army.
