Major General P R Pathiravithana USAWC psc, the Director General General Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, paid an official visit to the 4 Armoured Regiment on 13 January 2026. The visit commenced with a ceremonial Guard Turnout (Drive Pass) at the main entrance, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony, a group photograph and the planting of a sapling near the Regimental Headquarters.
The Commanding Officer briefed the Colonel Commandant on Regimental matters and future plans. He later addressed officers, sharing guidance on leadership and professionalism. The Colonel Commandant also addressed all ranks, followed by tea with all ranks, an inspection and a camp tour. The visit concluded with the signing of the Visitors’ Book at the Officers’ Mess.
