SRI LANKA ARMOURED CORPS HOLDS MULTI-RELIGIOUS FLAG BLESSING CEREMONY FOR 70TH ANNIVERSARY

The Sri Lanka Armoured Corps conducted its Multi-Religious Flag Blessing Ceremony on 9 December 2025 at the Rock House Camp premises in commemoration of the Corps’ 70th Anniversary. Clergy representing all major religions invoked blessings on the Corps flags, symbolizing unity, strength, and the proud heritage of seven decades of dedicated service. During the ceremony, special prayers were also offered for all officers and soldiers of the Corps who made the supreme sacrifice or were wounded during the internal conflict of the country.

In addition, blessings were extended to the people of Sri Lanka who were affected, wounded, or lost their lives during the recent flood disaster, reflecting the Corps’ compassion and solidarity with the nation. The event was graced by the Commander Armoured Brigade along with several other senior officers, adding dignity and significance to this solemn and historic occasion.
