Under the esteemed guidance of Mrs. Dulashi Meepagala, the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAC-SVB), successfully organized a Devotional Songs Event and a Vesak Dansela on 12 May 2025 at the Regimental Centre SLAC. This event was held in commemoration of Vesak Full Moon Poya Day.
The Devotional Songs segment featured nine performances presented by thirteen members of the Armour Ladies Club and fifteen children, with musical accompaniment provided by the SLAC beat band, Cavaliers.
Immediately following the Devotional Songs, a Vesak Dansela commenced in front of the Rock House Camp premises. Approximately 4000 sinisambal buns and Red Cow milk tea, generously donated by ASVU, were distributed to the public. Senior members and members of the SVB-SLAC, alongside Officers and Other Ranks, participated in the distribution of these refreshments.
Major General M S Devapriya USP ndc, Quartermaster General and the Colonel Commandant of SLAC, Senior Officers, Officers, Committee members of SVB-SLAC and Other Rankers participated in the event.
