CAVALRY OFFICERS’ TRAINING DAY AND DINERS’ CLUB 4th QUARTER 2024

As per the guidance of Major General M S Devapriya USP ndc, Quarter Master General, Army Headquarters and the Colonel Commandant - SLAC, an Officers Training Day and a Diners’ Club for the 4th Quarter - 2024 was successfully conducted on Wednesday, 11 December 2024 at Rock House camp premises with the participation of SLAC officers and officers including who are on ERE. The conduct of the training programme was coordinated by the Armoured Brigade.

Training Day was structured into five insightful segments which included the Physical Training, Sword Drill Training and a session dedicated to enhance Public Speaking ability of junior and middle grade officers of the corps. In the afternoon hours, a cricket match was played in the view of improving the cohesiveness and team work of the officers.

During the evening hours as the final segment, a Diners’ Club was held at the Cavalry Officers' Mess on the topic of “Comprehending the Diversity of Security Strategies for Sri Lanka” by Dr George Cook, Diplomatic Historian & Strategist. Major General M S Devapriya USP ndc, the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, warmly welcomed the guest lecturer on his arrival and accompanied for the interactive session which followed by the lecture. All the participants were actively participated with the Q & A session and finally all gathered for the cocktail and dinner marking the culmination of the day’s programme.
