The awarding ceremony of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) Inter Unit Drill Competition – 2025 took place on 14 March at the Armoured Corps Training Centre, Kalaththewa. The event was graced by Brigadier K G M N Seneviratne USP, Centre Commandant of the Regimental Centre, SLAC.
The competition, held on 13 and 14 March 2025, witnessed the outstanding performances from all participating units. Demonstrating exceptional discipline and precision 1 SLAC Drill Squad emerged as the Champions, while the 4 SLAC Drill Squad secured the 1st Runner-up and 5 SLAC Drill Squad claimed the 2nd Runner-up.
In individual achievements, Captain H M H Senarathna of 6 SLAC was the Best Commander, while Staff Sergeant Balagalla A J K USP of 1 SLAC earned the Best Drill Instructor Award for their remarkable performances.
The competition highlighted the dedication and excellence of the SLAC units, reinforcing the Corps’ commitment to upholding high standards of military drill and discipline.
