The Armoured Corps Training Centre solemnly and proudly commemorated its 42nd Anniversary on 01 January 2026, marking over four decades of dedicated service, training excellence, and steadfast commitment to the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps.
The anniversary celebrations were held with due military decorum and tradition, with Colonel D K S M Kariyawasam USP, Commandant of the Armoured Corps Training Centre, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest. A formal Guard Turnout and a colorful parade were presented in his honour and reviewed by the Chief Guest, symbolizing the discipline, pride and professionalism of the Centre.
In keeping with tradition, a sapling was ceremonially planted to mark the occasion, signifying growth, continuity and the enduring legacy of the Armoured Corps Training Centre. The programme concluded with an All Ranks Get-Together and a commemorative lunch, strengthening unity, comradeship and the collective spirit of the Centre.
