Sri Lanka Armoured Corps conducted its annual Pirith Chanting and Alms Giving ceremony on 10 and 11 December 2025 in commemoration of the Corps’ 70th Anniversary. The Colonel Commandant and Director General General Staff of the Sri Lanka Army Major General Ravi Pathiravithana USAWC psc, graced the event along with the President of the Armour Ladies Club Mrs. Sumangali Pathiravithana. A large number of senior officers, officers, soldiers, and members of the Armour Ladies Club also participated, making the occasion both dignified and spiritually meaningful.
Religious blessings were invoked for the Corps’ flags, all officers and soldiers who were killed or wounded in action and for the people of the country affected by the recent Ditwa Cyclone. Blessings were also extended to all serving and retired members of the Corps, their families and civil staff. The event, held with great devotion and unity, reinforced the Corps’ commitment to tradition, spiritual strength and collective wellbeing.
