The Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) hosted a reception and felicitated the recently promoted Major General KMG Bandaranayake USP ndc psc, Chief Signal Officer of Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 24th December 2025 at the Regimental Headquarters (RHQ).
The Centre Commandant SLSC, Brigadier R C Wijekoon USP psc, warmly received the Chief Guest on arrival and subsequently Guard Turnout at the entrance greeted him in accordance with military formalities.
Giving pride of place to the memory of all fallen SLSC War Heroes, Major General KMG Bandaranayake USP ndc psc laid a floral wreath at the SLSC War Heroes' monument and paid his tribute in a solemn ceremony.
Later, the Parade Commander invited the day's protagonist to review the Guard of Honour, accorded in his honour and receive the salute from the special dais and subsequently posing to a group photograph.
During the tea, Major General KMG Bandaranayake USP ndc psc took time off to share a few thoughts with officers who were at the Officers’ Mess. Subsequently, Colonel Commandant presided over the CO’s conference and Regimental Council meeting at the conference hall of RHQ SLSC.
Marking the event of the day’s itinerary, Major General KMG Bandaranayake USP ndc psc joined for a working lunch with all officers present at the Officers’ Mess.
