On 31st July 2025, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SVB SLSC) launched a heartfelt housing project with the foundation stone laying ceremony for a new residence for a deserving Warrant Officer, a single father of two, at Katugasthota.
The ceremony was graced by Major General GLSW Liyanage USP, nps, psc, Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps, along with Mrs. Ayesha Liyanage, President of the SVB SLSC. Several members of the Seva Vanitha Branch were also present, showing their support for this meaningful initiative.
This project stands as a testament to the SVB SLSC’s continued commitment to the well-being of service personnel, especially those facing personal and family challenges. It aims not only to provide shelter but also to bring dignity and hope to a soldier who has served the nation while raising his children alone.
The ceremony concluded with a pledge from the SVB SLSC to continue their mission of uplifting the lives of soldiers and their families through compassion and practical support.
