COMMANDING OFFICER 10TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS (CT & IT) ASSUMES DUTIES

Major AGNS Weerasena psc assumed duties as the 8th Commanding Officer of the 10th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 30 December 2024 at Regiment Headquarters in Panagoda. The newly appointed Commanding Officer was awarded with a Guard Turnout at the arrival. After paying tribute to the fallen war heroes at the Fallen War Hero monument, the new Commanding Officer was awarded with a Parade by the troops of the 10th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal, in accordance with military traditions.

After the military formalities, Major AGNS Weerasena psc auspiciously took over the duties amidst religious observances and placed his signature in an official document to signify the acceptance of his new appointment. Thereafter, the Commanding Officer planted a sapling to remark the event.

The Commanding Officer addressed troops emphasizing the significance of discipline and its integral role in achieving success. He shared his vision for the command and outlined his goals, inspiring the troops to work towards common objectives. The ceremony was concluded after a tea party with all ranks followed by a group photograph.
