THE CHIEF SIGNAL OFFICER OF SRI LANKA ARMY AND THE COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS VISIT TO 7TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS

The Chief Signal Officer of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General I H M R K Herath USP ndc psc visited 7th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 13th May 2024. This was his first visit to the 7 SLSC after taking over the appointment as the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps.

Major MASS Muthugoda USP psc, the Commanding Officer warmly welcomed Major General I H M R K Herath USP ndc psc on arrival and subsequently ceremonial guard turnout was awarded at the main entrance in accordance with military formalities. Then he planted a ‘Na tree’ sapling to mark his visit and took the group photograph with All Ranks.

The Chief Signal Officer of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps addressed the troops and highlighted that how to harness professionalism whilst preserving highest standard of discipline during their career progression. Further he elaborated importance of unity and bond between the Officers and subordinates in unit lines at the end of his address. The all ranks fruit party was organized to shared their thoughts and wishes. Before concluding the programme he shared his views with Officers during the lunch at Officers’ Mess and left compliments in the Visitors’ Book.
