VISIT OF THE CHIEF SIGNAL OFFICER OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY AND COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS TO 10TH REGIMENT OF THE SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS (COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY)

The Chief Signal Officer and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General Sajith Liyanage USP nps psc, has conducted an official visit to the 10th Regiment of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps (Communication Technology and Information Technology) on 27th February 2025.

The Col Comdt was warmly welcomed by Major A G N S Weerasena psc, the Commanding Officer, with great honour and military salute followed by the group photograph with all Officers and Other Ranks marking to the significance of the visit.

The Commanding Officer elaborated the role, task, operational and administrative functioning of the unit. During the briefing Maj Gen Sajith Liyanage USP nps psc emphasized the importance of technology in enhancing the professionalism of the Army, and how it is vital to elevate the technical prowess of the Signal Corps to a highly advanced level. The Col Comdt participated to the Troop Address followed by the tea which was offered by the All Ranks of the 10th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps.

Finally, Maj Gen Sajith Liyanage USP nps psc has marked his commemorative message in the Visitors’ book to emphasize the memorable occasion.
