SVB–SLSC EXTENDS FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO A SOLDIER FACING FAMILY HARDSHIPS

Under the esteemed guidance of Mrs. Ayesha Liyanage, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch – SLSC, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps extended compassionate financial assistance to a dedicated soldier facing significant family challenges.

The soldier is the sole caregiver for both of his parents—his mother, who has been diagnosed with cancer, and his father, who is paralyzed. Despite these immense responsibilities, he continues to perform his duties with commitment while providing full- time care at home.

Recognizing the burden carried by this soldier, the SVB–SLSC donated LKR 50,000 to support the family’s immediate needs and help ease the financial strain associated with their medical and caregiving requirements.

This welfare initiative reflects the Branch’s ongoing dedication to supporting the wellbeing of the Signal Corps family. By assisting those who shoulder extraordinary responsibilities, the SVB–SLSC reaffirms its commitment to standing by its personnel during times of difficulty and strengthening the resilience of its community.
