Under the esteemed guidance of the President of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSC SVB), Mrs. Sajeewani Bandaranayake, a Flood Relief Support Programme was ceremonially conducted at the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps (RHQ SLSC) on 17 December 2025.
The programme reflected the spirit of compassion and unity, as a large number of SVB members made generous financial contributions and donated essential relief items to support Sri Lanka Signal Corps personnel affected by the recent adverse weather conditions.
Further strengthening this humanitarian initiative, the Thai community in Sri Lanka extended their valued support by donating dry ration packs worth approximately Rs. 700,000. This commendable contribution was coordinated through the Vice President of the SLSC SVB, Mrs. Kinikini Adhikari.
Accordingly 05 Officers, 204 Other Ranks, and 03 civilian staff members were identified as beneficiaries. As a symbolic gesture, 45 dry ration packs were distributed during the simple ceremony held at RHQ SLSC, while the remaining packs were forwarded to respective units to ensure effective and timely distribution.
