SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS BID FARE WELL TO OUTGOING CENTRE COMMANDANT

A series of traditional military customs and courtesies bestowed the outgoing Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Brigadier GS Fonseka USP psc during a formal farewell, held at the Regimental Centre, Panagoda on Thursday, 05 January 2023, abiding by the prevailing health guidelines.

Brigadier Sudantha Fonseka, upon his arrival at the premises, reviewed the Guard Turnout and paid tribute to the memory of Fallen War Heroes at the monument. Afterwards, he was invited to take the salute of a ceremonial parade presented by the troops of the Corps of Signals. After a group photograph with the staff of the Regimental Centre, the outgoing Center Commandant planted a sapling in the premises making the event much more memorable.

Subsequently he addressed troops serving in the Regimental Center, commending the efforts of all levels of capacities, extended in successful completion of his tenure as the Centre Commandant.

The all ranks tea, followed up by the troops address saw the termination of the day’s programme and the outgoing Centre Commandant bade adieu to the Regimental Centre amidst gracious greetings of all Signalers.

Senior Officers/Officers and Other Ranks of Sri Lanka Signal Corps witnessed the series of ceremonials.
