SIGNALS SEVA VANITHA BRANCH VISITED A WOMEN VETERAN

The Signals Seva Vanitha branch conducted a donation programme on Sunday 09th March. The programme was initiated with a view of supporting a female signal soldier in commemorating International Women’s Day.

The selected beneficiary is having triplet daughters who are studying in grade one of Mariya Rajini Primary School, Katana. Further, she is living in a rented house and had to handle all the family expenses on her own without any other support.

Identifying her courage and admiring her as a single parent, the Seva Vanitha branch decided to lend a helping hand in assisting them. The donation included essential dry food items and nutritional supplements of babies to support the mother and triplets. Donation ensures their hygiene, comfort, and well-being. This initiative aimed to offer much-needed support, easing the mother’s burden while ensuring the healthy growth of triplets.

The President of the Signals Seva Vanitha branch, Mrs Ayesha Liyanage together with the other members visited the family at their house. Also, all of them contributed in creating an unforgettable memory for the three little children.
