The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps successfully organized a lecture on uplifting mental health for the members of the corps on 23rd January 2026 at the Regimental Headquarters, Sri Lanka Signal Corps (RHQ SLSC), under the guidance of the President, SVB–SLSC.
The lecture was conducted by Mrs. Vishmika De Silva, a Clinical Psychologist and Senior Lecturer at the University of Kelaniya, who shared her valuable expertise on maintaining positive mental well-being in both personal and professional life. The session highlighted the importance of emotional resilience, stress management, work–life balance and healthy coping strategies, especially within the demanding nature of military service.
More than 200 Corps members, representing all units of the corps participated for the programme, both physically and virtual platforms, reflecting the keen interest and growing awareness on mental health within the Corps. The lecture proved to be highly interactive and informative, allowing participants to gain practical knowledge and insights to enhance their psychological well-being.
The programme was highly appreciated by the attendees, as it provided timely guidance and encouraged open discussion on mental health, which remains a vital aspect of overall performance and quality of life.
