A farewell ceremony in honour of the outgoing President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SVB SLSC) was held on 28 December 2025 at the Regimental Headquarters Sri Lanka Signal Corps with the participation of a distinguished gathering of members.
The event was a heartfelt tribute to her guidance, compassionate service, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of Signal Corps personnel and their families throughout her tenure. Members expressed their appreciation and gratitude for the guidance and inspiration she provided, which significantly strengthened the unity and effectiveness of the branch.
In keeping with her selfless values and humanitarian spirit, the outgoing President made a special request that a portion of the funds collected for her farewell gift be dedicated to a charitable cause. Accordingly, the contribution was donated to a Non-Commissioned Officer of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps who is caring for newborn twins following the unfortunate loss of their mother during childbirth.
The farewell ceremony concluded with sincere wishes for her continued good health and future success. Her legacy of service, generosity, and leadership will remain an enduring inspiration to the SVB SLSC.
