Signals Seva Vanitha branch conducted a donation programme on Thursday 21st November for the students of Dharmashoka Vidyalaya, Kandy. The school, situated in Aruppala, Kandy, is the education centre of 41 students who are from low income earning families.
The Seva Vanitha branch of SLSC donated books and other accessories for all the students, which will be essential for their education in the year 2025. The gift packs contained with pastel, coloured pencils, maps of Sri Lanka and world, mathematical instrument boxes, scissos, and glue. Further, a packet of lunch was also handed over to every child, making it a memorable day for them.
A collection of story books was handed over to the principal of the school, which are to be used for the school library. The president of Signal Seva Vanitha branch, Mrs Ganga Herath, together with other members, participated in the event in executing the donations. Further, all of them made it an occasion to exchange ideas with the principal and staff of the school.
