Lieutenant Colonel J Kumar psc ptsc assumed duties as the 9th Commanding Officer of the 10th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps on 28 October 2025 at Regiment Headquarters in Panagoda. The newly appointed Commanding Officer was awarded with a Guard Turnout at the arrival. After paying tribute to the fallen war heroes at the Fallen War Hero monument, the new Commanding Officer was awarded with a Parade by the troops of the 10th Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps, in accordance with military traditions.
After the military formalities, Lieutenant Colonel J Kumar psc ptsc auspiciously took over the duties amidst religious observances and placed his signature in an official document to signify the acceptance of his new appointment. Thereafter, the Commanding Officer planted a sapling to remark the event followed by group photograph.
The Commanding Officer addressed all troops emphasizing the significance of discipline and its integral role in achieving success. He shared his vision for the command and outlined his goals, inspiring the troops to work towards common objectives. Then a group photograph was taken, ceremony was concluded after a tea party for all ranks.
