THE CHIEF SIGNAL OFFICER OF SRI LANKA ARMY AND THE COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA SIGNAL CORPS UNDERTAKES HIS FORMAL VISIT TO 2 SIGNAL BRIGADE

The Chief Signal Officer of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Major General Sajith Liyanage USP nps psc undertakes his formal visit to the 2 Signal Brigade (Force Multiplication and Projection) after assuming the office on 11 February 2025.

The day commenced with a warm welcome from the Commander 2 Signal Brigade, Brigadier AKD Adikari USP ndc and a Guard Turnout at the entrance. Later, he posed for a group photograph with all ranks of the 2 Signal Brigade to mark the occasion.

Subsequently, the Commander 2 Signal Brigade conducted a comprehensive briefing on the role, tasks and concept of operation of the 2 Signal Brigade. During the session, the Chief Signal Officer shared his experiences and insights with respect to force multiplication and projection aspects.

Later addressing all ranks, Major General Sajith Liyanage USP nps psc emphasized his vision for the future of the 2 Signal Brigade, aligning it with the Army commander's philosophy of a "Soldier friendly, Soldier centered" approach. By doing so, he set a clear path for continued excellence, ensuring that the brigade maintains operational readiness while prioritizing the well being and development of its soldiers. Eventually the event concluded with a formal lunch.
