DEPUTY COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (WEST) OFFICIALLY VISITS 14 INFANTRY DIVISION

Major General H D L S Perera RWP RSP ndc Deputy Commander Security Force (West), visited the 14 Infantry Division (14 Inf Div) on 19 Jan 2026. General Officer Commanding 14 Inf Div Deputy General Officer Commanding 14 Inf div and all the staff warmly welcomed the Deputy Commander Security Forces (West).

Following the reception, General Officer Commanding 14 Inf Div conducted a briefing on introduction, and history then Colonel General Staff 14 Inf Div conducted a comprehensive briefing on the deployment and operational readiness of the area (AOR) of responsibility of 14 Inf Div. Subsequently Colonel Admin and Quartering briefed about the administration and logistics matters. Officers of 14 Inf Div participated for the event.

After the visit of 14 Inf Div, the Deputy Commander Security Forces (West) visited the 144 Infantry Brigade (144 Inf Bde) located at Akuregoda. Commander 144 Infantry Brigade and all the staff warmly welcomed the Deputy Commander Security Forces (West).The Comd 144 Inf Bde conducted a comprehensive briefing on the deployment and operational readiness of the AOR. Subsequently the Deputy Commander Security Forces (West) visited the 2 (V) SLLI, battalion which is under the command of 144 Inf Bde.
