A special religious program was held on Binara Poya Day, 07 September 2025 at the Panagoda Bodhirajarama Viharaya to mark this sacred occasion. The event featured the participation of Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Army and Major General Dinesh Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, the Commander of Security Forces (West) along with several senior officers of the Sri Lanka Army.
This meaningful event provided an opportunity for both the military community and the surrounding villages to engage in religious observances and Dharma discussions, promoting unity and spiritual well-being. A large number of devotees from nearby areas also attended and participated in the Poya Day rituals.
The Sri Lanka Army continues to support the preservation of religious and cultural traditions ensuring that such events are conducted with dignity and devotion.
