The 14th Commander of the 141 Infantry Brigade, Brig H P D S Gunawardane RSP of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, assumed office on 01st August 2025, amidst religious blessings and military formalities at the Brigade Headquarters in Veyangoda.
The day's itinerary began with a Guard turnout by troops from the 8th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry. Following this, the newly-appointed Commander 141 Infantry Brigade signed an official document.
Later, he planted a sapling, participated in group photographs, addressed the troops and engaged with them during an all ranks tea. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks also attended these events.
