THE 14 INFANTRY DIVISION MARKS ITS 14TH ANNIVERSARY

With the blessings of the General Officer Commanding of 14 Infantry Division, Major General KJNMPK Nawarathna RWP RSP ndu, several programmes were conducted to mark the proud 14th anniversary of this Division on 06 April 2025.

On 20 March 2025, a Bodhi Pooja programme was held at the Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya, with the participation of all Officers and Other Ranks of the 14 Infantry Division. Blessings were offered to all the personnel of the 14 Infantry Division and tributes were paid to the fallen war heroes.Furthermore, Hindu religious rituals were performed at the Arulmidhu Hindu temple, Colombo 02 on 25 March 2025 and Christian religious programme was held on the same day at the Our Lady of Fatima Christian Church, Maradana.

Following that, a blood donation programme was held at the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital on 02 April 2025, where 138 Army personnel donated their blood. On this occasion, children receiving inpatient treatment at the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital were donated essential items by the 14 Infantry Division.

All Officers and Other Ranks of the 14 Infantry Division, under command Infantry Brigades and Battalions also contributed generously to all religious observances and social charity programmes held in conjunction with the 14th anniversary of the 14 Infantry Division.
