The Logistics Commander of Security Forces (West), Brigadier H M S I Senarath conducted an official visit to 1st Engineer Services Regiment on 12 November 2024.
On arrival, the Logistics Commander was hounoured with a drive past at the entrance of camp premises and was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel P A A S Perera. Afterwards, the Commanding Officer of 1st Engineer Services Regiment conducted a comprehensive briefing on the unit’s role, tasks ,its employment, and the constructions in active at present.
Subsequently, the Logistics Commander posed for a group photograph prior to conduct a visit in the camp premises. Addressing the troops stationed under the battalion, Brigadier H M S I Senarath emphasized the importance of the military discipline, the necessity to stay away from the illegal activities, the negative effects on the use of social media, and the professionalism of the military personnel. The Staff Officer I (Ops & Log),Lieutenant Colonel D S S Ladduwahetti RSP USP accompanied the Logistics Commander during this visit.
