World Children’s Day Programme Organized by Security Forces Headquarters (West)

Under the concept and guidance of Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc Commander Security Forces Headquarters (West) a special programme was organized in line with World Children’s Day which falls on 01 October.

The event was held on 02 October 2025 at the Camilia Children’s Home, Mattegoda which provides care and support for 40 resident children. The programme included the distribution of lunch gifts and an entertaining musical event aimed at bringing joy and happiness to the children.

Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc along with his spouse Mrs. Udari Gamage graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Their presence together with that of other senior officers, highlighted the commitment of the Sri Lanka Army towards community welfare and social responsibility.

The event not only celebrated World Children’s Day but also reinforced the Army’s continued efforts to extend compassion support and encouragement to children in need nurturing their hopes for a brighter future.
