The annual sports meet of Viru Kekulu Pre School, Panagoda, was held on 08 May 2025 at the Sri Lanka Signal Corps ground, Panagoda with great enthusiasm and vibrant participation. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, Commander Security Forces (West) along with his spouse, Mrs. Udari Anupama Gamage Senior Lady In-Charge of Viru Kekulu Pre-School Panagoda. The day began with the traditional lighting of the oil lamp, followed by an impressive band display by the students that added color and rhythm to the opening ceremony.
A total of 195 children and 16 teachers actively took part in a series of exciting games and activities, reflecting their energy, sportsmanship, and joy. Special games for parents and teachers also brought cheer and promoted a sense of community spirit.
After the sports events, the students performed a drill display, which was met with loud applause from the audience. The event concluded with a prize giving ceremony, where young participants were recognized and celebrated for their enthusiasm and achievements.
The presence of the Chief Guest and his spouse added prestige to the occasion, and their kind words and encouragement were warmly appreciated. Several other senior officers were present at the event, including the Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier Administration and Quartering, Colonel General Staff, Colonel Administration and Quartering.
The event was a resounding success, creating lasting memories for all who attended.
