SPECIAL WEDNESDAY TRAINING PROGRAM CONDUCTED AT 61 INFANTRY DIVISION

Under the close supervision and guidance of the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 61 Infantry Division, Major General K T P De Silva RSP ndu psc, a Special Wednesday Training Program was conducted on 4th December 2024. The primary objective of the programme was to foster team building and enhance the knowledge and professionalism of the Officers and Other Ranks at the 61 Infantry Division Headquarters in Boossa.

The training day primarily focused on building camaraderie and teamwork among all members of the Division Headquarters. As part of the first segment, Officers and Other Ranks enthusiastically participated in engaging team-building activities, including Lift in Relay, Arch and Straddle Relay, Rugby Scrum Clock Relay, Human Knot, and other enjoyable exercises.

Following the team-building activities, a highly relevant lecture on the topic of Discipline and Conduct of Military Personnel was delivered by Major B G T D Bandara SLCMP, the Officer Commanding Provost Company at the 61 Infantry Division.

Adding further value to the training day, the GOC of the 61 Infantry Division provided a comprehensive educational session, addressing various critical aspects of discipline, conduct, and behavior expected of all Army personnel. His insights emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical behavior in military service.

There were 21 Officers 202 Other Ranks including GOC and Deputy GOC of the 61 Infantry Division Headquarters participated for this program, making it a highly productive and enriching experience for all attendees.
