A series of vibrant and colourful events were held in SFHQ (West) marking its 13th anniversary on 14 and 15 November 2025. The finals of the much anticipated cricket tournament among under command establishments took place at the Kandalanda Playground, creating an energetic and festive atmosphere. Simultaneously, a large scale blood donation campaign was conducted at Bodhirajaramaya Temple, attracting more than 140 generous donours. In the evening, a serene bodhi pooja was held to invoke blessings on fallen war heroes, all personnel of SFHQ (West) and their families.
The following day morning featured a ceremonial guard turnout and guard of honour, followed by a tree planting programme and a group photograph. The Commander SF (West) attended as the chief guest, after a while SF Commander presented gift packs to all civilian staff of SFHQ (West). During mid-day programme all ranks lunch and troop address by the SF Commander was taken place with the participation of GOCs, the Logistic Commander, senior officers, officers, and other ranks.
