An awareness workshop on the prevention of dangerous drugs was conducted on 22nd January 2025, at the 14th Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Lecture Hall. The session was led by Lieutenant Colonel W A N D Jayasundara, the Senior Rehabilitation Officer of the Colombo District 1 Division, Rehabilitation Bureau, along with Mrs. Dulshani Tharaka Mahanama and Mrs. Dilhara Waragoda from the National Board for the Control of Dangerous Drugs.
The workshop was held in conjunction with the Training Day program to educate Officers and Other Ranks from units under command to 142 Infantry Brigade. A total of 03 Officers and 104 Other Ranks actively participated in the workshop, gaining valuable insights into the prevention and control of dangerous drugs.
