A comprehensive two-week training programme for Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) commenced today at Panaluwa, marking the first of a three-phase initiative designed to significantly enhance security mechanisms.
The training was initiated under the direct supervision of the Commander Security Forces (West), aiming to upgrade the essential skills, reaction speed, and mental preparedness of QRT members who play a pivotal role in countering adverse situations.
The opening address was delivered by the Commander SF (West), who emphasized the critical importance of continuous training to meet evolving operational requirements and maintain a high state of readiness.
A total of three QRTs (15 members each), alongside six women soldiers from various under-command establishments, are participating in this intensive phase.The programme features a team of six qualified instructors with extensive operational experience. They are conducting a mix of specialized lectures and practical demonstrations to ensure participants gain essential theoretical knowledge and crucial hands on expertise throughout two weeks duration.
