A program of planting 200 coconut saplings, organized as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility Project of the 2023/2025 MBA Financial Management course of University of Colombo, was held on 14.03.2025. The program was conducted at the 573 Infantry Brigade premises under the leadership and coordination of the General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division, Major General K T P De Silva RSP ndu psc and under the guidance of the Commander 573 Infantry Brigade Brigadier S W P M H R Senadheera RWP USP psc.
Dr. W. Premaratne Gamage, Faculty of Finance and Management, University of Colombo, along with 34 members of the MBA Financial Management Course 2023/2025, as well as the Chief Inspector of Police of the Sri Lanka Police College - Elpitiya, the District Coconut Development Officer, the Development Officer of the Regional Coconut Development Board and Civil Affairs Officer of 61 Infantry Division, Commanding officers, Senior Officers and Officers and Other Rankers of the 573 Infantry Brigade participated in this program.
