OPENING CEREMONY OF BATTALION TRAINING COURSE 2025

The Battalion Training Course No. 2025/1 of the 8 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) commenced on 17th March 2025 at the Security Forces (West) Battalion Training School, Puttalam. The training program began with the Opening Address, marking the official initiation of the course, which includes 11 Officers and 356 Other Ranks.

Brigadier R R De S Dharmawickrema RSP, Commander of the 141 Infantry Brigade, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The battalion training course aims to enhance the operational readiness, tactical proficiency, and professional competencies of the participating troops, aligning with the Army broader objectives of maintaining combat effectiveness and operational excellence.

This structured training program is expected to significantly contribute to strengthening the professional standards and mission readiness of the 8 SLLI personnel, ensuring their preparedness to meet future operational challenges effectively.
