NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDER 573 INFANTRY BRIGADE ASSUMES DUTIES

Colonel S W P M H R Senadheera RWP USP psc assumed duties as the 6th Commander 573 Infantry Brigade on 04 December 2024 at the Brigade Headquarters, Elpitiya.

The ceremony commenced with formal guard turnout, after which Colonel S W P M H R Senadheera RWP USP psc planted a sapling at the Brigade Headquarters premises to mark the occasion and posed for a group photograph with the staff.

Following this, the new Commander signed an official document to formally assume office. He then addressed the troops, emphasizing the Brigade’s mission, the Army’s core values, and his vision for the Brigade’s future plans.

The day concluded with an all ranks tea attended by all ranks, fostering camaraderie and unity. Subsequently, the Brigade Commander visited the Brigade Headquarters area to familiarize himself with the ongoing activities and facilities. Staff Officers, Commanding Officers of under command battalions and Other Ranks participated for this program.
