NEW GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 57 INFANTRY DIVISION ASSUMES DUTIES

Major General KMV Kodituwakku ndu assumed duties as the 19th General Officer Commanding of 57 Infantry Division, amidst religious blessings and military formalities at the Headquarters of 57 Infantry Division at Pangolla on 08 October 2025.

The newly-appointed General Officer Commanding was warmly welcomed by the Staff Officers of the Division Headquarters and honoured with a Guard Turnout presented by the troops of 9 SLNG. He assumed duties by placing his signature on an official document amidst chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ in the presence of Senior Officers, in accordance with the tradition. Then, he addressed his troops officially, which was followed by tea with them.
