A lecture titled “Prevention and Awareness of Infectious Diseases” was conducted at the 4th Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment Lecture Hall as part of the Wednesday training program on 08th January 2025.
The session led by the Captain K G D R De Silva 2(V) Sri Lana Medical Corps and lecture focused on raising awareness about prevalent diseases such as HIV/AIDS, influenza, dengue, pneumonia, and chikungunya. It covered key aspects such as how these diseases are transmitted, measures to prevent contracting these diseases, necessary actions to take if infected, and the types of herbal medicines that can be utilized for treatment.
The session was attended by 06 Officers 176 Other Ranks withing the cantonment emphasizing the importance of awareness and preventive actions against these diseases.
