The Annual Sports Meet 2025 of Nagoda Royal College, a prestigious institution with a 149-year history, was successfully held on 12th March 2025, at 1300 Hrs on the school grounds. The event was graced by the distinguished presence of Major General K T P De Silva RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 61 Infantry Division, who attended as the chief guest upon the invitation of the school principal.
Major General K T P De Silva’s presence added immense prestige to the occasion, serving as a source of inspiration for the young athletes. In his address, he emphasized the vital role of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and leadership, encouraging students to strive for excellence both in academics and athletics.
The event featured a variety of track and field events, showcasing the remarkable talents of the students. The spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie was evident throughout the competition, as athletes demonstrated dedication and perseverance in their respective events.
