EMERGENCY FIRE REHEARSAL CONDUCTED AT KERAWALAPITIYA OIL TERMINAL

Under the guidance of Brigadier R R De S Dharmawickrema RSP the Commander 141 Infantry Brigade, an emergency fire response rehearsal was successfully conducted at the Kerawalapitiya Petroleum Storage Terminals on 13 December 2024. The event was jointly organized by troops of the 141 Infantry Brigade and officials from the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL).

The exercise involved the participation of 90 personnel from 8th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Charley Squadron - 1 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Fire response teams from the Disaster Management Center, Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery, Port Authority, Sri Lanka Air Force, Sri Lanka Navy, Gampaha Fire Brigade, Colombo Fire Brigade, and the CPSTL Fire Section.

This joint exercise aimed to enhance inter-agency coordination and preparedness to effectively respond to potential fire emergencies at the oil terminal. All participants actively contributed to this vital training initiative, ensuring a stronger and more efficient collective response capability.
